Limit of Liability: We operate exclusively on the basis of the latest version of the Allgemeine Deutsche Spediteurbedingungen (ADSp) (German Freight Forwarders Standard Terms and Conditions), and are covered by forwarder's risk insurance. Clause 23 of the ADSp limits legal liability for damage to goods in accordance with section 431 of the Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB) (German Commercial Code).
For damage or loss while in the care of a forwarder: 5 EUR per kilogram of gross weight of the consignment; for multimodal carriage including sea carriage: 2 SDR (special drawing rights) per kilogram; per damage case or event: 1 million EUR or 2 million EUR, or 2 SDR per kilogram, whichever is the higher.
